Today I'm going to talk about two products that I got at this year's SummerMBeauty event. They are from Annemarie Börlind, I got a small mascara and a loose powder with hyaluronic acid. I don't think I have ever heard about this brand, but just last time, when I had time and I was in Müller I saw it, so I'm not sure if it's new in Slovenia or I have only just seen it. Annemarie Börlind is a world-famous natural beauty brand in Germany. She is committed to search for the cleanest organic natural resources in the world for ingredients.
Mascara
Annemarie Börlind Mascara comes in a black packaging with silver cap and silver writing. It contains 9,5ml of a product. This one is travel size. Although it's a small size mascara, the wand it's quite big and thick, but not too much. I love this type of wands for the effect they give, but I am very clumsy when applying the mascara, but with this one, I didn't have problems. The mascara costs around 19€, you can find it here.
I love the formula, it's not too wet and it's very black. You can do more coats and it still doesn't stick your lashes together at all. It doesn't give a lot of volume, but I don't mind that, I don't really need help in that department. I feel that it makes my lashes look full, like I have more of them than I actually do and it lengthens them. I didn't notice that it would crumble or give me panda eyes on a regular day, but when it was 30+ degrees it did smudge a bit. I didn't have problems with removing it.
It also says on the website that it's suitable for people who wear contact lenses. As far as I remember, I didn't have problems with mascaras in that field, so I can't say if it's really better or not.
Loose Powder with Hyaluronic Acid
This is again a travel size packaging. It comes in a round clear packaging with a silver lid. It costs around 26€ and you can find it here. This product is also vegan. On one side I love the packaging, it's small and super adorable and travel-friendly. It doesn't have a plastic lid with holes, instead, it has a net, which is flexible and I live that. It comes with a sponge, and now we come to the downside of the small packaging. I have small fingers and I can only fit one finger in there so you can imagine it's quite weird and it's hard to get the powder and to apply it all over the face. But you won't get those problems with a regular sized product.
It has a slightly floral scent. It contains hyaluronic acid, which they gradually release to the skin. The powder makes my skin look soft, healthy and it evens it out a bit. It applies well, it mattifies the face for two or three hours, if it's not hot, maybe even for half a day, but not more. Maybe I should test it again in winter when my skin isn't as oily and see if it lasts even longer. Don't get me wrong I'm impressed, some powders don't even mattify my face for so long, but I did find some that last longer too.
I came to the conclusion that this is a brand worth trying. Right now I'm also using their Hyaluron Eye Pads that I absolutely love. I also love the website, you can see all the ingredients and you can even click on them and it tells you exactly what it is and what it is used for. At the end, I really like the mascara and the effect it gives, I will save it for the days when it's not as hot outside. The loose powder isn't my favourite, but again, I will try it in the colder months and see how it works when my skin isn't as oily.
