Colourpop Super Shock Shadow Elixir (Matte)

I ordered this eyeshadow a while ago when Colourpop had 1+1 deal on Lippie Stix and Super Shock Shadows. I bought three Lippie Stix, I did try some before and I have a review on a few of them, but Super Shock Shadow was new to me. I ordered the shade Elixir, it seemed like a shade I would wear a lot.

It comes in a simple white round plastic pot with a window on top so you can see the shade. On the bottom, you have the shade name. The pot contains 2,1g of product and costs 5$.

There is a lot of different finishes to these shadows, till now, I didn't even know there were so many. You can choose from matte, satin, pearlized, ultra glitter, metallic and ultra metallic. My shade Elixir is matte and it's a coral terracotta shade. On the swatch, it looks a bit less vibrant than it really is.

The formula is soft, smooth and it's one of those bouncy ones. Because of the formula, you have to really tighten the lid after you use the shadow, otherwise, it will quickly dry out. The pigmentation is great, Colourpop suggests using your fingers for the best application or a flat and firm synthetic brush. It is a bit harder to blend. You will need a good and fluffy synthetic brush for it. The lasting power is amazing, it lasts all day on my lids without fading, with a primer it doesn't crease at all. Without a primer, there is a slight creasing at the end of the day (I do have oily eyelids).

Overall, I love the shade. Even though it's a pretty basic shade it's still something special, with its coral undertones and it's really pretty for spring and summer. I also love the super smooth formula and how long it lasts on my lids. I already have a few more Super Shock Shadows on my WL.
