Catrice Future Female Palette À Porter Eyeshadow is a newer edition to Catrice makeup. The palette is perfect for on the go and travelling. It comes in a small and really thin plastic packaging, you can just put it anywhere. The plastic feels cheap, so if you drop it, it will probably break. The palette contains 5,2g of product for around 4,50€.
There are four versions available to purchase, I got the version Future Female that is perfect for my liking, some bronze and neutral shades and one more colourful. The shades are not bright, they are almost pastel and subtle.
The texture of the shadows is soft to the touch and very powdery, there is a lot of fallout in the pan but a small amount on the eyes (mostly shimmer). The pigmentation varies a bit with each shadow, the mattes are less pigmented and you will have to build them up, especially the purple shade. The shimmery bronze shades are nice, but they could be more pigmented. I mean, they are okay but I have tried better. If you wet the brush it goes on better but I normally don't bother with that. Catrice actually recommends using an eyeshadow base to make your eyeshadows stand out. The shadows need a bit more time blending.
The thing that impressed me the most is that I don't even use an eyeshadow base at all and the eyeshadows stayed in place, even after a sweaty workout. There was just slight creasing which normally happens on my oily eyelids on a normal day, let alone workouts, but it's amazing how long these last. I didn't even notice that they would fade.
I love the palette. I can forgive a bit poorer pigmentation. If I want more intense shadows I will use a primer with them or wet the brush with setting spray, but for me it's okay. I like that it's so small, it would be nice if it had a mirror but I know it wouldn't be any help in such a small palette. I like the shades, the palette has my favourite bronze shades, a transition shade and a pop of colour with purple. The purple shade is not the best quality and it needs to be build up and blended well but it looks so good on my eyes. I put it in the crease and darken it on the lower lash line and this has been my favourite eye look lately.
