I was eyeing this highlighter when it came out but I didn't buy it because I didn't really need it and a few weeks later Natalija from Dominur kindly sent it to me.
Essence Insta Perfect Liquid Highlighter comes in a plastic bottle that looks quite cute. The bottle contains 15ml of product and costs about 3€. The nozzle is okay, much better than the dropper at L.O.V. highlighting drops.
There are two shades available, 10 gold addiction and 20 rosé fever. I got the shade gold addiction and it's a light golden shade, almost too light for me. It comes out darker but once I blend it, it looks very light on me, especially when it reflects. It also contains some shimmer.
It is a liquid highlighter and it doesn't blend so well, sometimes it can look uneven and patchy. It also emphasizes skin texture. It lasts quite well on my skin, it starts to fade towards the end of the day. Also, if you touch your face a lot, you will end up with shimmer all over your face.
This is not a bad highlighter, it's just a bit too light for me, even though that doesn't show on the swatches. Essence also says that a few drops of highlighter can be mixed with a foundation for an "all over glow" but I didn't try this. I did try it on my body and now that I'm tanned it is too light and if I blend it well, it almost doesn't even show on my skin (apart from the shimmer). I was preparing this review for so long, I wanted to like the highlighter, but I don't, I probably won't even keep it in my collection. I prefer powder highlighters. Lately, I have been loving this one from Essence and if I have time for a liquid highlighter I will much rather use the L.O.V. LOVglow Highlighting Drops.
