And part 2 of my yearly favourites, this time all of the products that don't go into the makeup category, including face and body products, hair products and nail polish. You can read the first part here.
Face & Body
Avon Clear Skin Pore & Shine Control Black Mineral Mask and Clay Ritual Clay Facial Mask
I already talked a lot about this two. I love both of them and I use them both regularly. I usually use Avon's one when I have less time but I don't really see a difference between the two. They both clean my face well and I always use a moisturizing mask after because clay does dry the skin out a bit.
Primark Face Washcloth
I almost completely stopped using cotton pads and I tried a few alternatives. The face cloth is from Primark, I got a pack of two for a couple of bucks and I love them. The cloth is very soft, so even if you have to rub a bit, it doesn't damage the skin. It can remove mascara without any other product, not all mascaras but most of them, it removes my Bourjois Twist Up mascara with no problems. Also, I throw it in the wash and it comes out completely clean.
Makeup Remover Pads from Aliexpress
These were very useful when I didn't have the cloth yet, I used them a lot in the first half of the year. You will need a makeup remover with them and they are hard to clean. They get all mushed up and hard after a lot of washes, so they are not as gentle as they used to be at the start.
Afrodita Why Mask Extreme Hydration
One of my discoveries of 2019 was also this mask. One day I wanted to try a new mask and I picked up this one. I already repurchased it a lot of times. It has a lightweight texture but still feels thick and nourishing. It washes off easily and leaves my skin nicely hydrated and glowy.
COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch
I don't get a lot of spots but when I do, these are super useful to have in stock. They work very well, they get almost completely rid of the spot through the night. You get a pack of 24 in the packaging.
One more mask that I would like to mention is the British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask from The Body Shop. I only had a sample size but it lasted me a good couple of uses. I really liked the effect of the mask, it kind of glowed up my skin. I'm already considering if it's worth purchasing the whole pot but it is quite expensive for a face mask.
Annemarie Börlind LL Regeneration Blossom Dew Gel
This is hands down one of my favourite products in 2019. I had this for around 3 years, I got it at a blogger event but it just sat in my drawer for so long. I almost gave it away but then I decided to test it and I loved it. I use it as a toner after I clean my face and my skin generally looks better. I can't say what exactly it does, my skin just looks more radiant and even. I already repurchased a bottle and trust me, I wouldn't pay 35€ for a toner that I didn't absolutely love.
The Body Shop Body Yogurts Ginger and Juicy Pear
The Body Shop's body yogurts were a nice surprise. When I first heard of them, I didn't think they would be any good if I'm completely honest. I got a chance to try two of them and I do like them. They have a very light texture and they sink into the skin fast but they do hydrate the skin quite well. I use them when I'm in a hurry or when I'm lazy. I need something more nourishing a few times a week but on the other days, I use these yogurts. Ginger is a strong scent that not everybody would like, the Juicy Pear is a fresh and fruity but still a very sweet scent.
When my skin is very dry and needs something more than a lightweight body yogurt, I use these butters. I love them, I have quite a collection already. My favourites are the ones that I purchased first, the strawberry and vanilla. They nourish my skin well, I don't know how I survived without them. I'm guessing they won't be as good in the summertime. Now, I just apply the butter on my legs and put on pajamas but in the summertime, the stickiness will probably bother me.
The last hand cream that really impressed me, was the Shea one from L'Occitane, not one has come close to it, except this one. It has a creamy texture that nourishes the hands well. I get very dry hands and this one (+ L'occitane Shea) are the only ones that I use because they are the only ones that sink in quickly but still leave a protective layer that doesn't feel sticky. I even convinced my friends to buy it because they all liked it so much. Plus, the scent is amazing but strong.
This oil was pink at the start but it has lost colour and it's now ugly and green. I'm guessing it's because of the oils in it but I don't even care. It contains jojoba, avocado, coconut oil and vitamin E. I love using it, it's like putting a thick lip gloss on my lips and it does help with dry lips. It's a bit shimmery but it's not very noticeable.
Last year, I put the Attraction Rush in my favourites, this year, I have switched to Attraction Sensation. In my mind, Attraction Sensation is a more grown-up scent, a bit warmer and heavier.
Hair
Gliss Kur Oil Nutritive Express Repair Spülung
Ever since I remember I have used these Gliss hair sprays and each year I discover a new version. This one is the best so far. I use these on my almost dry hair before I fully brow dry it.
Dove Oil Care Nährpflege Shampoo
Pantene PRO-V Repair & Care Pflegespülung
Mateja made me buy a few Pantene conditioners because she raved about them a lot on her blog. The conditioners are thick and perfect for someone with dry hair. Dove shampoo is also a discovery of the year. The combination of these is amazing, almost too nourishing for my hair sometimes.
Tangle Teezer Travel Size
I was so behind on this Tangle Teezer obsession, I didn't get how a hairbrush can be so special but now I do. I don't even know why, it just glides through hair and I'm sure those with curly hair will appreciate it even more than I do. When I have to use a normal hairbrush it's not the same and I'm glad I bought this one.
Nails
When I was searching for nail polishes that I liked in 2019, these were the only ones that stood out. These last long on my nails, they don't chip after a day, like some do. I also love the first two nude shades, they work very well with my skin tone.
Thank you for reading!
Imava nekaj istih favoritov, sploh Avonovih - maska za obraz, olje za ustnice in Attraction Sensation vsi odliči.
So čez noč občutno majši :D.
