A few weeks ago I got a super exciting package in the mail that was full of new makeup products. It was from Bronx Colors, a brand that I think is fairly new here in Slovenia. I haven't seen anything about the products before, I didn't even know the brand, so I didn't know what to expect. I will divide the product reviews into three parts because it's easier for me to test and review them.
The strobing palette comes in a plastic packaging that seems quite sturdy but if you drop it, it will break. It has a window on the front, so you can see the colours and I really like the stars on the packaging. You get 24g of product for 14,99€.
There are two highlighting palettes available, a gold one and a rose one, I have the latter one. You have three shades in the palette, two are supposed to be for highlighting and the third for contouring. First I want to cover the contour. For me that's not contour because it's way too shimmery for that, so I use it mixed with the first shade as a highlighter because the first shade is slightly too dark for me by itself. The second shade is too pink for my taste, so I don't use it. Maybe it would be okay as a blush topper if you like to use one. I took photos of the swatches but couldn't capture how these shades look like in real life, so I'm just going to leave Mateja's link here, where you can see them. She already reviewed all of the products, so check out her blog post.
The texture of these is really soft and buttery to the touch. The pigmentation is okay, except for the contour shade, which is very well pigmented. They look nice on the skin, they are quite shimmery but the shimmer is very fine. I did notice the texture does emphasize skin texture and the shades don't last through the day, they start to fade quite quickly on me.
Matte Lip Tint Naked
The lip tint comes in a matte black packaging that looks like it costs a bit more. You can see the shade on the bottom of the lipstick. You get 5ml of product for 7,99€. The applicator is a long and slightly bent doe foot that applies the lipstick evenly without problems.
The lipstick formula is liquidy and very thin. The pigmentation is good and it sets on my lips after a few seconds. The finish is really matte but it's not as uncomfortable as I thought it would be. Since it's such a thin and matte formula, I do feel it tightening my lips but it's not that bad for a while. I still have to remove it after some time because it starts to dry out my lips, so I couldn't say how long-lasting it is. It's definitely not a formula for very dry lips.
The shade is called Naked and it's exactly what I would imagine under the name. It's a light nude shade. It's lighter than my lips but still looks nice. As you can see on the swatches, I own more of warm-toned nudes but I love cooler tones on me too, Colourpop's Lippie Stix Tootsie was my favourite shade for a long time and this Bronx one is pretty similar.
Magnetic Urban Blending Brush
I find these brushes so cool because they have a magnetic bottom so you can keep them stored on your vanity mirror or something else metal. They also sell a metal plate for them, so you can keep them neat and organized. The design is super simple and sleek, they are yellow and black. I'm not a huge fan of the design, they look okay but I usually go for something cuter or elegant. They have sixteen brushes available, a nice selection from face brushes to eye brushes.
I have the blending brush, which I wouldn't say it's really meant for proper blending, I prefer fluffier brushes for that. I like to pack eyeshadow on the outer corners of my eye with it or to blend my lower lash line. The bristles are soft and none fall out when I was cleaning the brush. The brush costs 6,99€.
So far, I like the products, the palette is not something that I would use on a regular basis because I own highlighters that I like better but the other two products impressed me (even though the lipstick is a bit too drying for me right now). I'm not sure about the prices yet, they do seem a bit expensive but I have yet to test other products to see if they are worth it. The palette seems too expensive for what it is, but the lipstick I would say it's a good deal for the quality. Izdelki Bronx Colors so v Sloveniji na voljo na prodajnih mestih Mercator Hipermarket Šiška, E-Leclerc Maribor, parfumeriji Beauty World v Mariboru in na spletni strani Beauty World.
