Beautanicals is a new skincare line from Oriflame. It includes a shampoo, conditioner, body cleanser, peeling sponge, soap and hand cream. Products are formulated with 95% natural ingredients and contain vitamins and minerals. The formulas are vegan and don't contain silicons and parabens. The formulas are also biodegradable and the packaging is made of recycled materials. I love the design, it's stunning, it's just the type of design that I would expect to see in bathrooms in luxury hotels. It's very sophisticated. The whole line has quite a strong and fresh scent. I'm usually more for the sweet and fruity scents but I enjoy this one too.
What Oriflame says about Beautanicals line: "Inspired by Swedish apothecary knowledge and driven by the proven powers of botanical extracts and essential minerals, Beautanicals introduces a new era of thoughtful, safe and effective beauty formulations."
Beautanicals Peeling Sponge
This peeling sponge is such an interesting product. It comes hard as a rock but then gets soft when you wet it. It reminds me of konjac sponges. The sponge has a similar texture to the konjac but it gets soft faster. You only need it to soak for a couple of seconds. Since it's called a body peeling sponge, I thought it would be harsh, especially the little particles but it's not, it's actually soft and relaxing to use. When you are done with exfoliating, you just leave it to dry and it hardens again.
Beautanicals Revitalising Soap Bar
This is one of the interesting products because of its looks. I forgot to take a photo but it comes in a gorgeous saturated minty shade. You get 100g of soap for 4,50€. It's a soap, so I don't have a lot to talk about. It foams well, smells nice but it does dry out my skin. It's also good as a peeling on the body because of the small particles that are in the formula.
Beautanicals Revitalising Body Cleanser
The Body Cleanser comes in a chunky bottle that has 300ml of product. It comes with a pump, so it's easy to use under a shower. It has a thin creamy formula that foams well. The formula is nice, it's not nourishing nor is it drying. The scent is quite strong and lasts a while on my skin.
Beautanicals Repairing Hand Salve
The Repairing Hand Salve comes in a tube with 50ml of product and costs 6,90€. I love such designs of hand creams because they always look very elegant.
The formula is like a thicker gel, so it's not very lightweight but it's not heavy either. It sinks into the skin fast, it needs a minute or two, it's not sticky and it doesn't leave a film. I really like using it, it's nourishing enough, considering I'm in my house almost all of the day and my skin is in pretty good shape right now. I don't know how it would perform when my skin is burning and it's in a really bad shape but for now, it impressed me.
The only thing that bothers me, it's that the scent lingers for a long time. I like my products smelling nice but this scent is quite strong and specific. I know most people would like this but not me.
Beautanicals Repairing Shampoo
The Repairing Shampoo comes in a tall skinny tinted bottle that contains 250ml of product. The regular price is 10,90€. It comes with a pump, which is a big plus for me, it's much easier to use in the shower and to dosage the shampoo.
The formula is pearly white, it's creamy but lightweight. For me and my dry hair, this is more of a cleansing shampoo. It cleanses the hair well but it leaves them feeling a bit stripped down, I can already feel this when I'm rinsing it. I like to use a cleansing shampoo here and there but my hair needs more nourishment most of the time.
Beautanicals Repairing Conditioner
The Repairing Conditiones comes in a tall tube that contains 150ml of product. The regular price is 10,90€. This one comes with a nozzle, it's okay but I would prefer the pump, especially since the formula is very lightweight and you quickly use too much.
Like I said, the formula is very lightweight and easy to spread down the hair. I'm used to very rich formulas because my hair is quite dry, so this conditioner wasn't enough moisturizing for my taste, I feel it doesn't do much. It's a shame because I adore the packaging and the scent is nice.
Beautanicals is a sophisticated and very nice looking skincare line from Oriflame that has some amazing products. I love the peeling sponge, it feels super relaxing to use. The hair products didn't impressed me much but they are still okay. The scent of the whole collection is very interesting, very fresh and herbal. I would say it's perfect for autumn and winter for those who don't like the sweet and sugary festive scents.
