What is Yanumi?
Yanumi is a small Slovenian natural skincare business. Their products are 100% natural and vegan, made with sustainable ingredients. The brand also likes to give back to the community: "Yanumi has partnered with Europa Donna, one of the local leading and incredible sources of healing and support for patients undergoing breast cancer treatment. 5% from every purchase will be donated directly to Europa Donna program for breast cancer research and education". You can find more about this or about the brand on their website. One more fun fact: the name Yanumi means god loves.
I got a chance to test two of their products - organic shea butter (that I already knew) and their brand-new 100% Natural Deodorant in the scent Floral Gardens. I already tested two of their products years ago and I remember that I really liked them - you can find a review of the shea butter here.
Yanumi Organic Shea Butter
The shea butter comes in new glass packaging that visually looks a lot better than the previous one. The packaging is adorable but I think I could maybe have a problem with reaching for the product when there is not much left.
Shea butter is amazing for a whole bunch of things - it's great for nourishment and it also has anti-inflammatory and healing properties. This one does have a thicker consistency, so you have to scrape it out but it warms quickly in the hands and spreads easily on the skin. I mostly like to use it on my feet because I have very dry skin but it's an all-around product for sure. You can even use it on your face. I like to apply a heavy layer on my feet before going to bed, rub it in and put on some socks. The next morning my feet are nourished and soft. This is a natural product, so don't expect it to smell like flowers and fruit, it's not a pleasant scent but I don't mind it, I got used to it when I tested one of Yanumi's butters years ago.

Yanumi Floral Gardens 100% Natural Deodorant
Lavender, Palmarosa & Ylang Ylang
The Floral Garden Natural Deodorant comes in paper packaging and this one also has an adorable design. The packaging is environmentally sustainable and zero waste. The paper actually holds very well, I dropped it in the pool when I was trying to take a photo and it survived with no problems.
The deodorant has a harder consistency but it melts once it touches the skin. I usually apply it and then rub it in with my fingers. The scent is quite strong at first but I can't smell it later in the day. It's not the most usual scent, it's almost spicy but floral, so if you like these kinds of scents, go for it but they do have some other ones as well.
Now for the ingredients: it's a natural deodorant and it doesn't contain soda (which can irritate the skin and I did have some problems with soda in deodorants before) or aluminum salts. It contains ingredients that absorb moisture and unpleasant odors, attack bacteria that cause unpleasant odors, and ingredients that nourish the skin. I have to say that the deodorant works for me, it never failed me and I started testing it in hot weather, so it has a huge thumbs up from me.

With Yanumi we actually only agreed for me to post a review of the product on my Instagram stories but they become a staple in my routine, so I wanted to do a whole blog post. If I had to choose one of the products, I would go for the deodorant, it really impressed me that it actually holds the whole day, even on the hotter days, and I would love to also try other scents, especially Citrus Island. For those of you that don't like scented products (I'm usually that kind of girl), you also have the Natural Earth version that doesn't have any scent. The shea butter is also great, I don't have a negative thing to say about it. It will come even handier when the winter comes and the skin will be dry from the wind and cold.
Thank you for reading!
