I don't usually buy limited edition makeup anymore, at least not as much as I did before but this time I caught a gorgeous collection by Catrice. I loved the nail polish design and I "needed" a classic red in my collection, then I also got a cream blush because I have been wanting one for a while.
Catrice Sparks of Joy Blush Stick 01 All I Want for Christmas is RED
The blush comes in round plastic packaging that looks quite cheap. The shade name is "All I Want for Christmas is RED" but I wouldn't describe it as a red - it's more of a darker pink. I thought that it would be a darker coral-red shade (based of the packaging). Then, when I opened it, I thought it will be burgundy, but on the swatches and on the cheeks it looks pink. I don't like the shade at all. Also, the texture is thick - not creamy at all - so it's hard to blend. This was a miss buy, but thankfully the nail polish was a hit.
Catrice Sparks of Joy Nail Lacquer 01 December to Remember
The polish comes in a gorgeous luxurious-looking bottle. The brush is straight cut and quite thin, I would like it better if it was round cut. The formula is just perfect. It's on the thinner side but still opaque but I rather do two thin coats, rather than one thicker. It dries quickly and lasts for about a week. I wore it a couple of times and I'm really impressed with how long it lasts on my nails. Love this one, I regret that I didn't also get the green one.
The nail polish is a 9/10, I would just prefer a rounder and bigger brush. On the other side, the blush stick is a miss, I don't like it, so I'm already searching for a better one.
Thank you for reading!
